Project goals
The TeaTwin project is developing an intelligent modeling assistant that partially automates the creation of digital twins based on existing SAP ERP data . By establishing a seamless bidirectional interface, the system extracts critical operational data to create the simulation and then feeds optimized production plans directly back into the SAP environment .
Our central goal is to simplify the provisioning of digital twins and reduce manual modeling effort by at least 50% .
Key research questions
To achieve this goal, the project addresses three key technological and user-related challenges:
- Automated data integration:
How can a universal, highly adaptable interface be developed that automatically extracts master and transactional data from SAP S/4HANA and converts it into a simulation-compatible format ? - Ensuring data integrity:
Which methods – such as automated data imputation and machine learning – can be used to detect, clean, and intelligently resolve missing or inconsistent data sets during model generation? - Democratizing accessibility:
How must the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) be designed so that even non-experts in the field of simulation can independently configure, maintain and effectively use complex simulation tools?
