The Project

Background and Motivation

This section explains the motivation driving the TeaTwin project, specifically the shift toward highly complex, "batch size 1" manufacturing. It outlines why SMEs currently struggle to leverage their existing SAP data, often falling back on inefficient priority rules like FIFO.

Objective and Research Question

This section details the project's primary goal: engineering an intelligent assistant to semi-automate Digital Twin creation directly from SAP S/4HANA data. It outlines our core research questions, focusing on how to build a universal data interface, intelligently impute missing datasets, and design an accessible UI/UX.

Research Methodology

This section breaks down the technical architecture and the tightly coupled integration of ERP data processing with discrete-event simulation. It explains how our bidirectional OData interface extracts master and transactional data, which is then parsed and standardized by an algorithmic interpreter.

Expected Result

This section highlights the concrete operational impact of deploying the TeaTwin software prototype in a live manufacturing environment. It details the anticipated elimination of manual data collection bottlenecks and the democratization of advanced simulation tools for standard production planners.
